The World According to Victoria

Welcome to Victoria's World. She's a happy, rambunctious, curious pre-schooler. There's no end to the adventures to be had when you're turning into a little girl. Here's to watching the transformation.

  Birthday Revisited
In a birthday kinda mood this weekend. We got back from Hailey's birthday party at the McDonald's in Pottstown. It was incredible. An indoor three level playground, TV, computer games, dance pads, a kiddie slide, and basketball hoops. Service wasn't that great, wasn't well-organized, and they didn't keep things moving. But, the kids couldn't have cared less. So long as they could take off and play in the playground, nothing else mattered. Victoria had a fun time. Took her a while to make it to the top level. But, once she did and slid down the yellow slide, there was no holding her back. I'm still amazed at how well these kids play together. I don't know if it's familiarity, the rules from daycare still in effect, or just their natural personalities. I'm fascinated when they encourage each other or show each other how to do something.

On the downside, I think she's getting sick again. She fell asleep in the car on the way to the birthday party. She told us her throat hurt right before that. Wish she'd had more of a nap in the car. Unfortunately, she fell asleep as we were getting close to our destination. After the party she was coughing a lot. Never a good sign. We've got the vaporizer running in her room. Seems to help. Not hearing a lot of coughing now that she's asleep. She's still got that nasally snore going though. Hopefully we won't be visiting the doctor before her well checkup on Friday. Really want to make it to her checkup so she can get her flu shot at least.
